The organisations in our dive community supporting this project with their Mission 2020 pledge are putting the future of the oceans ahead of simply making a profit – they are making significant changes to their business and their impacts on the environment. By World Oceans Day 2020 we will eliminate single use plastic packaging from our products. We will continue to develop new products and redevelop existing ones using recycled material. We will become truly OceanPositive.
As PADI drives toward a fully-integrated digital learning system, we lessen our dependency on packaging, thereby minimizing the plastic footprint of hundreds of thousands of divers every year. We will further reduce plastic waste across our supply chain and rally our 6,600 dive centers and resorts to reduce single-use plastics.
At Halcyon Dive Systems, we pledge to reduce our plastic and carbon footprint by 2020. We are committed to: Eliminate single-use plastic packaging of all our products; Significantly increase the use of recycled goods; Sponsor Ghost Fishing cleanups around the world and power the Halcyon manufacturing facility with solar energy.
At Aqua Lung, we are continuing our commitment to eliminate single-use plastic packaging on all of our products worldwide, whenever & wherever possible, finding sustainable alternatives everywhere we can. We will continue to further our use and implementation of renewable energy sources at our facilities across the globe.
We pledge that by World Ocean’s Day 2020 we will continue to improve in all areas of our current “Ocean Friendly” policy to: Recycle, Re-use and Reduce wherever possible; only ever use biodegradable, compostable and/or recyclable packaging materials and reduce our ecological footprint wherever possible.
Our fleet vessels will be completely single-use plastic free by the end of 2019. Single-use plastic water bottles have already been removed from our Red Sea fleet. We pledge to minimise pollution on our boats and in our worldwide offices, achieving this whilst educating yet also respecting local communities.
We will minimize single-use plastics in packaging and select durable materials to ensure a long lifetime for products and capability for maintenance. We will optimize deliveries and offset carbon emissions from all deliveries. Through our certified, audited environmental-management-system we are, and continue to be, committed to save our common playground.
At GUE, we pledge to launch an annual GUE Cleanup Event. We feel we can have the greatest impact by utilizing our network of divers in a worldwide cleanup of our waters. We hope to power our office with solar, will continue to recycle, and eliminate any single use plastic.

The sea has always been at the heart of Mares. By World Oceans Day 2020 we pledge to reduce our environmentally unfriendly packaging including single-use plastic by 70%, adopting sustainable alternatives and minimising waste. We will also innovate techniques in product development to reduce our environmental impact in the future.
SANTI Diving is constantly working on improvement in the field of environment protection and implementation of the new actions aiming at the oceans and planets preservation. By 2020 we plan to replace the plastic bags by biodegradable ones, increase the effort to find the suppliers delivering the the recyclable elements.
SubGravity is committed to avoid single use plastic where there is an alternative, sustainable option available. We will work towards a 75% or more reduction in single use plastic by the year 2020. Additionally SubGravity is committed to continue recycling by shipping orders in previously used packaging whenever possible.
Dive Right in Scuba makes the pledge to only use environmentally friendly packing materials with the aim of eliminating single use plastics from our shipping department completely. What’s more, DRIS will push to reuse packing materials such as boxes and packing media whenever possible.
KUBI Dry Glove Systems & Expedition Products has committed itself to the removal of plastic packaging from it’s products. From the 1st July 2018, all KUBI products will be supplied in recyclable paper packaging, as part of a fundamental rethink on how to deliver products in the most environmentally-friendly way.
Scubatista Divers are 100% supporting Mission 2020. We are always encouraging our divers to protect oceans by reducing plastic use in daily life. Our little effort now will affect better future environment.
Our dive center mission to stop all single use plastic at our dive center. We are taking care of cleaning the dive spots and beaches we dive around the island. Finally we are recycling, taking care about plastic use and promote an eco mind to our staff and customers.
Rainforest Scuba pledge not to use plastic bags for any sales in our business. We encourage the use of refillable bottles and are happy to refill these for you. We do not encourage plastic packaging and will endeavour to avoid them at all cost. We are part of Tetracycle recycling.
Diving4all GmbH is committed to 150 dives until World Oceans Day 2020 in which we collect waste from the rivers in our region. Furthermore, we discuss the problematic in our diving courses from beginners to diving instructors and include this topic in theory and practice lessons.
Living in a big city, we drink the water coming from the great lakes that will then flow to the oceans We pledge to continue to clean the river, Reduce, Reuse and advocate for a closer to mother earth way of living From the source to the Oceans.
As part of Mission 2020, Dive Butler Finolhu is committed to protecting our oceans. We plan to host monthly Dive Against Debris events in conjunction with beach clean-ups around the local island of Hithaadhoo. We hope this will instill a culture of sustainability for generations to come.
At Goby Divers we pledge to avoid plastic wherever possible and every month we will hold a reef clean-up event in which we involve local kids to make them aware and to remove waste from the ocean.
Coral Bay Divers is not using any plastic water bottles or cups for any of its customers, during any diving operation Using no single use plastics, and only environmental sustainable detergents for diving equipment care Coral Bay Divers is recycling any other materials. We actively protect the underwater environment!
At Adventure Mine of Tuna Hästberg, we pledge to reduce our usage of plastics and reduce our carbon footprint by 2020 We are actively working towards: reducing of usage of singel-use plastics and exchanging those by reusable • investing in charging station for electric cars by our facilities.
We pledge to use no plastic in the products that we sell, as well as to reduce as much as possible in our daily operations. We pick up every single piece of plastic trash that we find underwater and we encourage our divers to do the same.
We pledge to use only paper carrier bags throughout our company by 2020.
Transformation Scuba pledges to make ocean conservation the highest priority by transforming divers into caring stewards of the aquatic realm. As a 100% AWARE partner we will lower our carbon footprint, reduce waste, remove marine debris on every dive, use reef friendly sunscreens, and live by the motto #TransformYourOcean !
We think green
We have been involved in the fight against plastic pollution for more than ten years. At that time very few people were listening; now everyone is listening... We pledge to work with every organisation in the diving industry that wants our help in this mission.
T101® Dive Training Center is dedicated to excellence in diving training. We are committed in protecting our Seas and support Project AWARE and other eco-green organisations. We lead by example, educating people to recycle & re-use plastic, respectfully explore wrecks and do regular clean-up dives (plastics & ghost fishing nets).
We are located in one of the last untouched destinations in Asia and it is our responsibility to keep it that way, we aim to eliminate single-use plastic in our operation by providing refillable bottles to our guests as well bathroom amenities made in wood
Mauritius has excellent clean drinkable tap water yet many people are drinking bottled water. Plastic bottles are our biggest polluter. The Tap Water Revolution installs drinking fountains in Mauritius. With our publicity machine we hope help them install drinking fountains in all the major shopping centres as our 2020 project.
I will carry a goodie bag for the purpose of collecting trash with me anytime I go to any water for the purpose of diving no matter if I'm teaching or just for pleasure, plastic bags are the worst items that has ever been marketed in all countries.
We are committed to eliminating all single-use plastics in our dive operation. We are eliminating these on our boats, and continue to work with retailers to eliminate the single-use plastic packaging they send. We will lead Dive Against Debris surveys to remove marine debris. We are committed to ocean conservation.
We pledge that all new products we develop will not be packaged in single-use plastics. Until World Ocean’s Day 2020 we will strive to eliminate all single-use plastic from our existing products. We will also continue our efforts to recycle and to reduce our ecological footprint.
Continue to reuse, reduce and recycle, encourage all our customers to do the same and promote positive examples of this on our social media. Encourage all divers to have their own drinking bottle as part of their standard dive kit. By 2020 training manuals will be online versions where available.

Heritage Malta Underwater Cultural Heritage Unit is committed to advocate environmental best practices through promotion of public access to protected Historical wreck sites. We pledge to clean our historical wrecks from ghost fishing and any presence of modern waste.
